We used a private subway to get from the Senate building to the Capitol. Very cool.
Ben, me, and President Lincoln. They also had a statue of Brigham Young, which we thought was cool.
After the tour we were told to eat at "the Good Stuff." We got the most amazing hamburgers, fries and smore's shake. Oh, Ben was in heaven. Half of our trip was spending money on food I think... but that's ok because everything else is free!
On to more monuments. And more walking.
By the end of the week, I had a strange attachment to the Washington Monument. It became my favorite.
And then we did more walking... (we walked SO much every day.)
We grabbed a bite before heading to the Lincoln Memorial. $5 lemonade, but it was in a souvenir cup! Troy crossed into the grass and chased some ducks and birds.
I LOVED the Lincoln Memorial. I loved reading the addresses on the sides of the wall. There is no doubting the Lord's hand in America.
Troy and Liam are getting each other to yell because it echos. Gotta love these boys!
What a fun trip!! I'm so glad you guys got to go there and see all those neat things. What great memories. I miss you! Thanks for updating your blog--makes me feel more in touch with you :). You guys look great
