First Day of School 2016

Liam is ready for Kindergarten! He was so excited to take his new backpack and lunchbox. I wish so badly that I could watch him in class. 

Troy is excited for 2nd grade. I love his positive attitude. I'm going to miss this big boy's help during the day.

Daddy took them to school. Liam has been looking forward to this day ever since Troy's first day of kindergarten.

Miles 1 Week

The first week with Miles was wonderful. He slept most of the time and daddy was home to take over everything I normally do while I recovered. 

We also had to take Miles into the doctor every day to test his bilirubin. We've been down this road a few times already. After a few days of steady rising, we tried formula while I pumped. His level finally came down a little. So we kept with the formula for a few more days. I'm grateful we don't have to keep poking him. They will check it again at his 2 week. 

Miles is our nightly/middle of the night entertainment. 

My mom flew in Tuesday night. The kids love spending time with Grandma and we are grateful for her help.

I'm never quite fast enough, but this was the tail end of a smile. 

We are in the most amazing ward. They threw me a shower on Saturday. He wasn't supposed to come yet, and so we planned it for the 20th, but it worked out anyways! They went all out with crepes, keesh, decor, and greatly appreciated presents. I am kicking myself for not getting more pictures. But check out these adorable monkey cupcakes that Shandi made. I felt so spoiled and loved by all of these women!

I also need to mention the photo shoot that Stefan did of Miles on Saturday, after they fed us dinner! Miles was wide awake, which was weird, but so cute. I am excited to see and share them ;)

Uno is a new favorite in our house. Troy helps Katelyn and Liam.

July Part 2

Library Store Time: I haven't been going during the year, but this summer, it has been a great activity. 

We decided on a name for baby boy. MILES. We set up his room, new paint, and now I'm starting to wash everything. I even made his baby blanket. It's so soft. And it only took me two days. Win-win.

This past week, we went down to Memorial Mall to enjoy their amazing play area. It was SO busy. I knew it would be, because it's summer. I talked to the sweetest Grandma that sat next to me. She was complimentary of my kids and then couldn't help but mention how expensive college was going to be with four kids. Outside the LDS world, having a fourth is quite a phenomenon around here. I hope we help it look semi-normal, instead of making people think, "Well, that's what you get." Sometimes, I definitely feel like it is A LOT, but other times I really don't. I guess it is because I finally feel like I don't have all really young children. Especially this last year, I have felt like it has been easier. They are all potty trained and play together. They all communicate and can reason with me, (well, Katelyn is questionable..) And I finally get to really teach them things. Like how to read and play the piano. I get to talk to them about baptism and the holy ghost. I just love experiencing this time. 

I was so proud of Troy as I watched him make sure that Katelyn always knew where he and Liam were and waited for her to catch up. 

I took this picture today. August 3rd. Miles is almost here, and yet it feels like I have to wait forever. I'm so grateful I have made it to 36 weeks and I don't want him to come earlier than 39. But WOW am I excited to meet this boy. Going to WICKED in a few days will help my impatience ;)

July 2016 Activities

I had my 29th Birthday on July 17th. I forgot to get pictures, but here is one of me pregnant around that time!

I am excited to be 29. I get to enjoy the last year of my 20s! Since my birthday was on a Sunday, we went out the night before to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, yuuuuummm. I enjoyed the rolls so much, I just wish I could have eaten more! My stomach is preeetttty squished. Then on Sunday we had the Wiest's over for dinner and had delicious cake. 

We have been going to pump it up a few times. The kids love it there. 

It's either a shake or a slush from sonic to stay cool.

Dress ups galore. Katelyn is almost always in a dress, so I quickly grabbed this pic. Even now, she is sitting next to me and saying she doesn't like that costume.. Haha. 

Play dates at the pool or splash pad. Here is Katelyn and Sylvi. These girls are adorable together.

Troy, Liam, and Marsellis.

Troy had basketball camp for a week at Cinco Ranch High School. He absolutely loved it and learned some skills. He was a little concerned about one of the drills though. "Mom, they told me to shove my butt into people." Hahahah. It took me a second, but then I realized what he was talking about. I let him know that they were telling the truth and that's how you keep people from stealing the ball! He has gotten better and he can't wait to try it out on a team in the winter.

We do a lot of family night treat runs to Randall's for donuts. So convenient and the kids LOVE them. 

Our stake youth put on a play, Esther. I was so impressed by how well it turned out.

Katelyn kept saying, "MOM, she is a princess with a crown!" She was captivated.

Ben went on high adventure with the young men. They went to a few places near Austin, where they rock climbed and went to the water park. It sounds like they had a blast. Ben put together a big slideshow of it all and they watched it at their last activity. Ben was also made young men's president.
