Happy Halloween!

Introducing, Bob and Larry:

Ben and I are the Asparagus parents. We are Veggietales if you didn't catch it already.

We had a small party this halloween. With more kids, it gets crowded quickly with less families. But JUST as much fun. The Clarks and Poulsens joined us. Here are the Clarks: Kyle, Laura, Emma, and Hayley.

The Poulsen's do not have a family pic! But you will see a few of them in these pictures. There is Rich, Rachel, Noah and Beckett.

Below is Noah, Liam, Troy, and one of the twins. I am lame that I still can't keep them straight. They hung out in the basement with popcorn while we played our games upstairs.

First we had our soup bowls, salad, and meatballs. DELICIOUS. I want it all again, right now. Then we had two games: the mummy wrap and donut toss.

Kyle, Ben and Rachel were our mummies. The test was to see if you could run outside and have the toilet paper stay on. Rich was great at supplying measurements for winning :) Rachel was definitely the best mummy.

Beckett thought mommy was running away. It was a joyous reunion.

The boys had a race of their own downstairs. They just ran back and forth for several minutes. Liam's dream playdate.

I am kicking myself for not getting the donut toss. Rich saved the day again and came up with a solution to our donut game. The donuts were a little flimsy to hang on a string, so we broke them into pieces and threw them into each others mouths to see how many in a row we could get as a couple. It was SO funny. It was fun to play, and even more fun to watch. Another successful Halloween party! Thanks Poulsen's and Clarks!

On a separate note... we took the boys to Macey's on Saturday night for a trick-or-treat thing (and we needed one ingredient for Sunday dinner.) I think I also want the boys to wear their costumes as much as possible because I made them and I need to feel they were worth it :) Troy LOVED it. Liam liked the candy and hanging off Ben's shoulders. 

We grabbed a pizza on the way home and then Ben headed off to play a 6 hour board game with some guys in the ward. I just had to document that for some reason :)

Update: Ben took his PE examination last Friday, before the party. It's an 8 hour beast and I'm so glad he is done taking it! He has been gone (at our house studying) but he is back. He has been studying since May and the last two weeks have been pretty intense. Grocery shopping alone with the kids is something I will NOT miss. I prayed for him the entire test and we had a special family prayer (Troy, Liam, and I) the minute that he started his test. He didn't get out of the test until 5:30, and it was supposed to be at 5, so it was killing me that he hadn't called me. He said that he actually kind of enjoyed taking the test, craziness, because he could use all of the stuff he studied. He also feels good that if he has to take it again that he knows how to improve. What a great attitude! Big day in Ben's professional life. We won't find out the result until late December! Lame. But, I'm so proud of my Civil Engineer!

Provo Library Story Time

Every Tuesday we go to story time at the Provo library. Troy goes into this little room with other 3-5 year olds for story time. I like going because Troy has a hard time leaving me, and this is good practice. It always takes him a minute to adjust, but he is getting better at it. Liam is not as into story time for the toddlers. They have the cutest songs, puppets, and stories, but Liam just wants to run around. This boy keeps me busy. I end up holding him most of the time so that he won't take off. He is a cutie though!

These pictures were taken while we were waiting for Troy to come out. I'll have to get one with Troy. He gets so excited to see us after and shows us his letter and what they talked about. I love it.

Fun at Grandma's House

Troy and Liam love Grandma's house. We need actual pictures with Grandma next time, but they were gone when I took these. I love watching Ben play with our boys. It is seriously one of my greatest joys in life.

Liam didn't want to take pictures and headed off on one of his escapes.

He handles the hill pretty well, until he tried going down in the little toy car, (I can't believe I didn't catch him) went down the driveway, into the street, and hit the curb. He landed on the sidewalk with the car on top of him. We were so lucky that all he had was a scratch on his head. The car did not look so good. Liam is one tough cookie. And mommy needs to never, ever, look away from Liam.

Our Daily RUN

Troy and Liam like to run. Big surprise, since they are Ben's sons.

I no longer talk to the other moms that are outside, because they boys won't stay in one place long enough. But it gets them tired! And when we stay inside, many things brake.

They run around our entire town home development. It's quite a run and they do it every day lately.

Liam always stops to hit this sign. Haha. He thinks it will open a door :) So sweet.

Beautiful Fall Pictures

Who LOVES Utah in the fall?!

The boys threw rocks off of the hill.

Then they threw rocks into the river.

I've decided staying at a cabin would be a fun vacation for our little family next year. 

Ben likes to lift his shirt up for pictures lately... I think it's a nervous habit? Or he just thinks he has awesome abs that he needs to show off?

Family Night at the Pumpkin Patch

We had such a fun family night with Devin, Sarah, Tyler, Annie, and Halli Ann. This pumpkin patch was near Wal-mart. They had hot chocolate, lots of pumpkins, and a tunnel made of hay for the kids. They had hay rides, but we didn't feel it was worth the wait. Sorry for the blurry pictures, but they will have to do!

Liam looks angelic with this pumpkin, but he is actually about to throw it. He thought all of these pumpkins were placed here just for him to throw. What else would they be for?

Liam is our little entertainment. 

Troy loved the hay tunnel. And he may or may not have thrown his first punch in this very tunnel. Another little boy was dragging him out of the tunnel when Troy had had it, apparently, and just knocked him in the face. The other little boy wasn't really hurt, but very stunned. We had to calm Troy down and have a teaching moment... He was a little surprised at himself I think. He was quickly distracted by the hot chocolate.

Liam thought it was okay, but he really just wanted to go and throw the pumpkins again.

We tried to catch a cute moment, but Liam just wanted to (I bet you can't guess!) throw the pumpkin that was in his hands. 

Afterwards we had Krispy Kreme donuts and THE best apple cider, made by Sarah, at our house. Perfect night. Thanks Annie for the great idea and getting it together!

Picking Apples at Andersen Park

I have decided that picking apples with my boys is one of my new favorite activities. They love it, I love it, and they run around without being able to brake anything. My dad's family has a park in Orem, the Andersen Posterity Park. There are apple trees and they let us come pick some. I have not done it before and I have been missing out!

Troy held onto these two apples for probably 6 hours. He even napped with them.

The park has a path that is pretty long, and so the boys just kept running and running and running. Here they are running under the grape vines.

This is where Ben and I had our reception. I love this park. A lot of work goes into it from my family members and I am very grateful! It was a fun morning!

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!

You read that correctly! We are going to have a precious little girl!! Katelyn will be her name. We are SO excited we can't stand it! Now I need to buy pink things and make bows. FUN! Ben is obviously stoked. He has been wanting a girl SO SO badly, you just don't know. He holds other little baby girls in the neighborhood whenever he gets a chance. Plus, Halli Ann has just teased us with her cuteness (our niece.) Everything looked great on the ultrasound, which is WONDERFUL to hear. I love seeing the ultrasound. Here are some pictures..

Yay!!!!

Life... it happens

Ben was coming home from work on Saturday night, rushing to get to Priesthood, when the tire went flat thanks to a razor blade in the road!! So, Troy, Liam, and I got to go to check to see if the tire was able to be repaired or changed. It was supposed to be a 30-45 minute ordeal. It ended up taking 2 hours. YUCK. But Troy and Liam were pretty good... Liam is not one to stay in one place too long without getting destructive. The workers just laughed and said, "Does he ever stop running?!" Nope, and nope. Luckily, the dealership had popcorn!! So that made all three of us a little happier :) Plus they had like 12 legos. I tried turning the t.v. on but Liam just kept turning the t.v. on and off. Then, Troy started turning the lights on and off. So, I just let Liam starting throwing legos.

After stopping Liam from terrorizing the cords behind the t.v., he fell over and wouldn't stop crying. So I gave in and let him play with my wallet.

Liam never cries to the point of tears. Look at that sad little tear on his cheek.

Our tire ended up needing to be replaced. Dang it! But we are SO grateful to have it back to normal!
