My Boys

Troy lives for Daddy to come home at lunch and after work. Today we put on Troy's slippers from Holland that Grandma (Ben's mom) brought him. He liked to shuffle his feet and thought it was so funny when Ben would copy him.

Pretty sweet huh?

Troy likes to eat whatever Daddy is eating. He's gotten pretty good at dipping chips into salsa, cottage cheese, spinach artichoke dip, or any other dip that Ben is having.

Troy points to the salsa when he sees it and says, "Mama, O eh" which means Mama open.

We finally got Troy's room ready this morning and so I will be switching him to his bed now. I got really sad when I looked at his big boy room and thought of how much he has grown. But it's so much fun too. It's fun that I discover him in his room on his chair with a book. I love that he eats by himself. I think he has a favorite color now, orange. He always wants to wear his submarine pajamas from Grandma. That's what he chooses to wear for the day, every day, but I somehow change his mind each time. He loves play-dough and will say most of his words on demand for me. Probably not in front of other people, but that works for me right now. He has progressed a lot on his expressive language. I need to focus on it again though to expand his vocabulary in hopes of getting to phrases.

Troy hates diaper changes with a passion, but sometimes gives in. Probably for my sanity. He has gone to all of nursery for 2 weeks now. Hallelujah. He throws more tantrums but is also more loving. He is generally obedient but likes to test us every once in a while. He even gives us his sly grin when he's testing us. He is able to recover from a tantrum pretty quickly and is ready to laugh. He loves taking things a part and putting them back together. His latest obsession is buckles. I think he's ready for a little brother. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm excited for Troy to be an older brother. I know I'm ready for this baby boy to come. I still have 7 weeks but I am just so ecstatic to meet him! I love my three boys!
