22 Months

Troy is 22 months! How is that possible? Almost 2 years old? I keep thinking that his 18 month old clothes should fit, and then they don't. For some reason I felt like time should pause after 18 months. His pants and shirts look so big, but all of the sudden they are too small. I'm sure he will look even bigger to me when this next boy of ours arrives.

Some things about Troy: He is hilarious when he is tired. He starts running in circles with his head tipped to one side. He hugs everything and everyone. He will laugh at just about anything. But he will also cry if he barely bumps his head. Which works out nicely sometimes because then he is even more ready for bed. Am I terrible for saying that? Troy discovered his love for stickers today because free disney stickers came in the mail. He likes to stack them right on top of each other. He is getting really good at coloring and even a little painting. (I won't be so daring for a while, paint is scary.)

Troy always takes his diapers to the trash and can walk down our stairs with no help. He has been able to for a while, but he recently does it all the time. He still gets lots of oo's and aw's about his eyes. He has made up his own word, dop. It means stop I think. It's his one angry word that he says when he doesn't like the current situation. If he hits me out of anger he will immediately follow the hit with pats on my back and then give me a love. Ha, I have a hard time getting mad when he does it. He has learned what time out is, but we have not had to do it very much.

Troy is not a picky eater, but a moody eater. He will eat most things, but it depends on his mood of what he will eat that meal. Eggs and oatmeal are usually a safe bet. His latest favorite are better cheddars or whatever Ben is eating.

I could go on, but I won't because I want to spend some time with Ben. Ben and I can't get enough of Troy to say the least. He is kind of a crazy man but doesn't really get into too much trouble. He just has lots of energy, like Ben. We love our little boy so much.

p.s. I had my 34 week appointment today and everything looks great. My blood pressure is staying down, yay. And this baby is about the same size as Troy was, so if he comes on time about 7 lbs. (at least that's the prediction of my OBGYN.) I can't wait to meet our Little Liam.. I'm still not sure about the name, but I'm trying it out for now.

  1. I love the name Liam, but there are 2, I think, in our ward.

What is it with little boys and running around in circles? It's pretty funny when they stop and realize how dizzy they are. haha Such a cute boy!
