Friday Fun

Every Friday Troy and I go to the Provo library for toddler time. Two adults, who are fantastic at entertaining children, sing songs, make jokes, read a story, and have a puppet show. Troy is pretty shy about getting close to the adults but will always clap and dance. He gets very excited when the puppets come out.

Yesterday I felt cabin fever, so today we went to the Provo mall after the library to have some lunch and play in their play area. It's one of Troy's favorite places. We got Panda Express. Yum, and yum. Troy ate just as much as I did, so we almost didn't have leftovers :) Troy's favorite toy is the slide. He starts breathing really heavy and laughing before he goes down. He loves when other kids are there. Even when there are tougher kids (ya know, block the slide, push, etc.) Troy just lets them do there thing and waits or goes to another toy. Troy is very patient and likes to watch kids play, but is also independent because he wants to have fun too. He has become more patient in the last few months, because he used to be very territorial over toys. Another favorite of Troy's is a maze that is on one of the walls. You move a ball that is attached around the maze. He is a problem solver. I tend to focus on his language but I forget to recognize how coordinated and smart he is. Toys that have to do with fine motor skills, problem solving and hand eye coordination are what he loves best.

I think I want to keep up this tradition of fun Fridays. Probably not the eating out, but the planning ahead of fun activities :)
