Man Voice and Troy Update

I woke up with a really sore body and sore throat on Troy's birthday. You know that feeling when any pressure on any part of your body makes you sore? Anyway, when I get sick I lose my voice. It either goes really high and hoarse or really low and manlike. Most of the time it's manlike. And I don't just lose it for a day or so, it's like a week. I still do not have a voice. Every morning Ben calls and I whimperingly reply hello and he says, "Oh... sad, your voice is still gone." Every time someone calls they don't know if it's me or some chain-smoker man that is randomly answering my phone. Then I have to explain that I am sick.

I have gurgled tons of salt-water, drank lemon juice, whispered, breathed in steam, sucked on a million coughdrops (if I see another one I might be enraged) and I am at the conclusion that I just lose my voice when I get sick. My throat is healing today, so it is not as hoarse and I am not coughing as much, so maybe it will come back soon. Maybe this is a sign that I need to not talk so much... because I LOVE to talk. Hm, I like it too much to give it up at all :)

Troy update: Thanks for all of the advice girls!! Ben and I just kept at the milk, did not add any sugar, and he got thirsty enough that he drank it. He still is hesitant and tries to chug it like his bottle, which results in choking. He is getting the hang of it though. Another new thing is that we put him to bed with no bottle/milk to put him to sleep. The doctor said it was bad for his teeth. So this poor little guy is having a lot of new things but is taking it really well. We give him the milk right before bed and then just lay him in his crib after reading and prayers. He cries for a little bit but I think it helps him sleep better. 10 minutes at the most but usually around 2 minutes for naps.
