Ben asked me out on a date yesterday. Ha, he really did. We went to Applebees (giftcard) which was so yummy and we were worried because Troy was unusually fussy. But the balloon man saved the day!! He made Troy a little dog. Troy was entertained for the rest of the night, this morning, and throughout today. At first I was thinking, "Really? A balloon man at Applebees?" But I realized we were in the kids section and it was Monday/family night. I love that Utah Valley is catering to Family night! Troy loved it and the kids around us were so excited about their balloons. Except for this one little girl that sat and staired at me for like 10 minutes while I ate (they hadn't gotten their food yet.) I tried not to notice but she was staring so intensely. I was going to offer her some, but I thought that I wouldn't want to give her something she was alergic to or maybe her parents wouldn't want me to...
I didn't have our camera last night, but here is Troy with his balloon today.
He goes crosseyed sometimes when he gets excited about something right in front of him.

He likes to furiously shake it by the tail.

He would periodically hold it as far away from him as possible. It's probably hard to have to look at things so closely all the time because your arms are so small. Maybe that's why he goes crosseyed sometimes...
After dinner we went to Old Navy and Gap to get Troy some undershirts/plain onesies and other things that he has grown out of. Ben was sweet to use his birthday giftcard for Troy. Old Navy really is cheap for baby clothes, plus they were having a sale. Gap is good if you find things on extreme sale. Their stuff is so cute though! I love to shop for Troy.
I will remember that from now on, bring a balloon man with us whenever we want to go out to eat :). Sounds like a fun date! Except for the strange staring girl haha. I love shopping for my kid's clothes too. They don't care nearly as much as I do. If I had more money that's totally what I would do, just go buy way more baby/kid clothes than necessary.
ReplyDeleteChar, I laughed and laughed at the part where he holds the balloon as far away from him as he can so he doesn't go cross eyed. Oh, I love reading your blog! Being with you would be better though!
