This past weekend the boys went on a camp out in Goblin Valley. They thought it would be a little warmer since it is 2 hours south, but it was not. It got down to 9 degrees at night. Needless to say they were freezing. At least they got some serious bonding time in :) They tried to do as many "manly" things as possible... jumping around on rocks, building a fire, eating raw chicken... ha. Devin may or may not have eaten raw chicken. It's hard to cook everything evenly when it's in tinfoil. They talked about life, as you almost always do when camping, and made inside jokes I'm sure. I love my hubby and brothers.
While the guys were bonding, we had a girls night at my place. I got to know Maddy more. She is such a sweetheart and it was fun to talk about high school times again. My mom said that for a few minutes she forgot she was 50. However, I am so incredibly glad that I already know the ending to my love story. Hooray for that. We watched Ever After, 13 Going on 30, and ate pizza, chocolate and popcorn. I love the girls in my family.
The next day we did a workout in the morning to work off all the "lack of nutrition" we had the night before. We did some kickboxing from that website I had mentioned before. We were quite sore after. Then we went shopping at Provo Town Mall and found a couple of really good deals. Maddy showed me what was in style at her high school. Had Orange Julius'. I forgot how good those are. Try the tripleberry. I'm not a big berry person, but it was so good. I had such a fun time! We missed Sarah at the shopping, but she was helping her sister move. That night we watched BYU vs Utah in basketball. They were supposed to go to the game, but the student section was full when they got there. Bugger. But they came home and we had brownies and ice cream while complaining about the poor picture on The Mountain. I thought it was fine, other than you couldn't really tell what the score was. Ha. Fun weekend.
