Halloween Cookies and Tumbling Class

I love Halloween. Well, I love the fall, candy, pumpkins, parties and smells associated with Halloween. Not so much the scary part. I love traditions. I thought we would start the tradition of Halloween cookies. Troy tried to help, but really just ate the frosting while I decorated. I have never used food coloring before. I was missing out! It is so FUN!!

Liam just sat and played with toys while we frosted the cookies. I made the cookies while they were sleeping. Liam is such a joy! Just look at that smile.

Here is the finished product. We took some to neighbors and to the relief society auction. I had to make a green face on one of the witches in honor of wicked. I will definitely be doing this again. I'm not a big sugar cookie person but this recipe was a winner.

Troy's last tumbling class was today. Here is a picture with Troy, Brogan (Troy's little buddy) and Coach Robert. I didn't get many action shots, because I was usually helping. Troy LOVED this class. We will most likely be doing it again soon.

He got a medal at the end of class today. This was his face when I asked him to give me a really big cheese face.

I got what I asked for! ;)

A quick update: Troy is obsessed with shoes lately. Especially his church shoes, because he can put them on himself. Or he will walk around in my shoes. Flip-flops to high heels. We need to get him some outside slippers. He would LOVE them. He is still a big hat boy. He usually has one on. Troy has been saying, "Oh, yes" instead of yea to everything lately. He gets really mad when Liam has to take a nap and sometimes goes and wakes him up when I am in the shower. I no longer shower during Liam's naps.

Liam is taking one of his binkies!!! He doesn't suck it very much, but he will when he goes to bed or if he is really tired. Liam is getting more independent and babbling to get attention. He gets really excited when he realizes you are going to pick him up or give him some food. He shakes his head and has this huge smile.

Ben and I are almost done with mud and taping the basement. We just have to sand one more time and then we will texture. We want to paint this weekend! So excited!! We are glad we did it ourselves for the experience and saved money, but we might hire out the mud and taping if we finish another basement.
