My beautiful and loving Grandma Farnsworth passed away on Sunday afternoon. It was a peaceful transition, but it is hard to lose her. We are so grateful for the legacy that she left to us of love, patience, continual sacrifice for loved ones, music, a positive attitude and many others. Her funeral will be on Saturday. We have been able to visit her and Grandpa a few times this past month. I'm grateful we have those precious pictures. I have so many memories in their home, inside and out.
Here is Troy and Liam playing with Grandpa and Aunt Nancy.
Here is the front of their house. Nancy is our Vanna White. This lawn was used for many 4th of Julys to watch the fireworks. They live above the temple and have a perfect view. There are roses behind Nancy, and that was something Grandma was known for. As well as her chocolate brownies. I remember picking many raspberries out in the field that they owned and mowing the lawn with Grandpa in a riding lawnmower. I even stayed in this house my first semester at BYU. Grandma made sure we were well fed and taken care of. I am so grateful for the chances I have had to get to know my grandparents.
Nancy is a Pro-Grandma. Liam was soaking it up.
Troy is jabbering at Grandpa. Haha. Grandpa loves these boys and always wants me to give them kisses for him when we talk on the phone.
I took a few pictures of pictures they had in their home so that I could have them. Here is my Grandma and Grandpa.
My Grandma was able to die at home surrounded by her family. She has 9 children, 43 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren (although that number will greatly increase over the years.) My mom said it was sweet to see my Grandpa holding both of her hands as she passed away. They are sweet eternal companions.
I love the picture below and I like to think of her in this way on the other side. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of God's plan. I know my Grandma is happy. I love you Grandma. Thank you for your love and lasting influence.
