Katelyn is 3!

Katelyn loves celebrating everyone's birthday, but it is especially fun when it is hers. 

She holds onto her birthday card for a few days. She often carries things around that she loves for days.

Her request for lunch was fries and frosty. "Fwies and fwosty."

She watched her cake bake. She is usually my little companion in the kitchen and watches me make most meals. She will even wear her apron when I am wearing mine. (Thanks to Aunt Sarah!)

She wanted the same cake as Liam, but a big cake. 

On her birthday, we went to Toys 'r' Us and spent some of her gift card money from Grandma and Grandpa Allsop. 

She also got the cutest clothes from Grandma Allsop. A little tennis skirt included. Perfect in Houston. And I think, this is when she got an Anna dress. She is in a different dress every day. So girly. We love it.

• Katelyn is my little helper and shadow. We run most errands when Liam is at preschool, and she always wants to help. She can barely lift that bag of heavy soap. But of course, she has to have her backpack as well. She always has at least two bags or purses within her vicinity.

•  Katelyn brings us SO much joy and SO much frustration. She is 3 after all. She is so cute that we can't even handle it. Her high voice and big eyes just melt us. But she also will cry about the color of her cup, the rejection of tons of candy when she first wakes up, anytime we say no. She does communicate extremely well, so that helps. 

This is Katelyn.. to a T.

• It's all about pink and purple, lip gloss, purses, and shoes for Katelyn. Love the girly.
• She can't say her l's or r's and it's adorable to me right now.
• Katelyn often tells me, "You are not the boss mom, I am." Oooooohhh Katelyn.
• She notices when I am sad or frustrated with something, and will ask me about it, then tell me "just be happy, mom."
• She is very stubborn, but I like to think it will turn into determined. She is pretty persistent. 
• When someone compliments her, she will smile, close her eyes, and tilt her head. A lot like the picture above in front of Kohl's. It is the cutest. 
• Katelyn loves to sing and make up her own songs. Her frozen microphone has been quite the inspiration. She also "practices piano" after the boys. 
• She will be taking swim lessons in June, so that her fearless attitude of the water won't be dangerous! ;)

We love our Katerbug. I can't say it enough.
