I took Troy to the pediatrician yesterday because he was still breathing funny. He has Croup. They gave him a steroid injection and he was breathing much better by the end of the night. He doesn't sound like Darth Vader anymore. He still woke up and cried for about 2 hours straight. I always think of Melissa Kitchen's parents when Troy is crying for a long time and I remember that it isn't that bad. Although I want to pull my hair out at the time. I think the ultimate torture is to hear your baby cry and not be able to soothe them with anything. We bought him a slushy to soothe his throat but he didn't like how cold it was. So Ben and I tried different things and eventually he accepted his milk that he had been refusing and went to sleep. Blessing of all blessings.
Today is "prepare for conference day." I hope to come up with ways to occupy Troy during conference. I have this inner need to be creative because I havn't been for a while. Any creative ideas for conference or halloween decor/treats anyone?
