I, like many other people, have been sick this week. It started with the dreaded sore throat Sunday night and then onto the pressured sinuses and stuffy nose. I have been carrying around two Kleenex boxes with me everywhere. One of the boxes was used for disposal because I had already used up all of the tissues. I was so afraid that Troy would get sick, that every time I blew my nose I would wash my hands. I felt like I had been working at the hospital again because my hands were so dry from all of the washing. Two days ago I progessed to the recovery stage where I coughed a lot and my body was exhausted. Well, today I put the non-empty box of tissues back in the bathroom. Triumph! My body is still recovering, but no pressure, stuffiness, or pain for that matter. I still occasionally cough.
I have been especially thankful for my health this week. I love that my body has the ability to get rid of a cold. Although coughing is not fun, I reminded myself that this was my body trying to get rid of the built up inflammation. Our bodies are amazing and cannot be explained by anything other than God's power. We are just miraculous. I am so grateful for my body.
Ugh I'm sorry you've been sick. I'm glad Troy didn't catch anything (yet). All week i've been wishing it was me that was sick, not my kids cuz I hate when they're sick. They're so helpless. I at least, can blow my nose haha. I've been thinking about how incredible our bodies are this week, too. they just heal and fight infections for us and it's all pretty miraculous when you think about it.
