We were all ready for the 13 hour drive to Albuquerque, but it was short lived. About 4 hours into it we got a flat. I was able to pull off into the construction zone.
That picture of the tire is scary, but we were okay. Luckily, we were able to have our spare put on and drive into the town 20 minutes away and get our tire changed. Driving is never as cheap as you think it will be. At least in my experience. But I'm so grateful it happened during the day. Plus, we were still able to make it to Albuquerque before too late. We got in about 10:45 Texas time.
After a 5 a.m. wake up.. I let the kids watch shows so that I could sleep a little longer. The kids loved the breakfast in the morning.
I was brave and went inside to eat at one stop. Let's just say this was at the very beginning of the lunch..
and I didn't do it again on the way home. Liam and Katelyn are just too hard to control by myself.
We were SO happy to arrive in Utah and see the beautiful mountains, and just feel... at home. We played with Grandma Jana and Grandpa Corey. The next day we had a play date at Tyler and Annie's new house. What a great backyard! Cousin time is my new favorite thing!! Halli is finally old enough to really play and Troy and Liam are loving it.
Tyler looks comfortable at the grill. The J Dawg sauce was THE best.
On Sunday, Corey had to speak at a couple of other wards, so mom and I went to mom's ward for sacrament meeting. We couldn't go to the other hours because there was no primary that day! Ha. Their entire primary (small) was gone. I loved that sacrament meeting though. Two missionaries spoke and it was so spiritual, faith building, and wonderful. The kids loved their new coloring books and seemed to obey my mom better than me. She brings a calm to them.
On Monday, we went swimming at my mom's pool. I forgot to bring the kid's vests.. so Katelyn was pretty exhausting to watch. She is a thrill seeker.
This little Hayden is just the sweetest. Yes?!?!
Troy and Halli play really well with each other. They were talking to each other through the noodle.
I loved having Annie so close that they could come. I absolutely love hanging out with her and their sweet girls!
