7 Months and 2 1/2

7 months old!! Liam is sitting up, biting with his two bottom teeth, and as happy and giggly as ever. This is a happy 7 month old. The spitting up is getting better, but the slobber is increasing, so I still have to change his outfit every 2-3 hours.

Stats: He is 17 lbs, 50%. 75% for height (I need to check the measurement.) And 35% for head. I was expecting him to be tall and a little heavier, but he's just tall and perfect! ;)

The biggest event in Liam's life the last month was his surgery at Primary Children's hospital. If you're interested, he was diagnosed with hypospadias. It was mild and so we didn't really notice a difference, but it needed to be fixed or he wouldn't be able to pee standing up. Obviously, we chose to do the surgery that was required. It was last Tuesday. Ben gave Liam a beautiful blessing, which was more for my nerves, I think. I was worried how Liam would do when I didn't feed him for 6 hours. He actually did surprisingly well. I now know how to get him to take a binky! He didn't even cry the whole trip up to Salt Lake (which took 2 hours!!!!) The surgery went very well. His stats remained normal throughout the whole thing. I LOVED our doctor, nurse, and anesthesiologist. Primary Children's is so special. He had to come home on baby Loritab! He was quite dozy and out of it for a while. I am glad to have him back to himself.

Liam still LOVES attention and will scream if he is not getting it. Not a mad scream, but a scream to get you to look at him. Haha. He is scooting around and rolls to what he wants. No crawling yet. Looks like he may follow in Troy's footsteps in the milestone area. Speaking of Troy, Liam LOVES Troy. Sometimes it is SO hard with two at young ages. I don't have enough energy to get everything done and hold Liam and teach them and clean and cook and etc. BUT when Liam and Troy laugh at each other, I remember what a blessing it is to have them close together in age. They will be little friends forever.

I love this little fall jacket. I LOVE fall!!! I'm so excited!

On to 2 1/2 year old Troy. This little bundle of love and energy keeps me filled with purpose and smiles.

Troy is helping dad sand the walls. Let's get a close up of Ben's face, shall we?

Ghost of Christmas Past. He should totally try out for A Christmas Carol.

Anyway, Troy is learning so much. I love to watch his little mind grab a hold of things. He still lacks in the expressive communication department, but is always learning more. He doesn't talk in sentences still, but he knows a million words, and the whole alphabet. He spells out words to me on signs when we go on walks. He knows his numbers but not how to count. I am working on that one. Along with shapes and colors. School time is so much fun. The library has been the best tool!

He is still little sports man. He loves to shoot, kick, and throw all day long. He is into cars a lot lately and riding his bike or the neighbor's scooter.

Here are a few pictures of Troy, Onia, and Kennedy. These two girls sandwich Troy in age and I have watched them a couple of times. Troy loves to play with them.

Troy thinks holding hands with Kennedy deserves a cheesy smile. I love to see his little personality.

We just started Troy in a community tumbling tots class. A friend of Troy's is in the class, and so we thought we would give it a try. Troy LOVED it to say the least. He learned to walk on the beam, swing on the bar, tumble, do a table top (almost a back bend) and stretch. It was so cute. I'll have to get pictures next time.

Ben and I have been spending our time in the evenings finishing our basement (explains the pictures above.) Thus, the lack of posts. It's fun to be working on a project together, side by side. I like that he trusts me to do things I have never done. Ben is very patient and always loving. We just have a couple more rounds of mud and tape and then we get to paint! I am so excited!!

p.s. Piano teaching is SO fun. I love learning how to teach and then the actual lessons. It is a perfect small break that brings me joy and fulfillment.

  3. Your kids are so cute! Yes, at times it's hard to have the kids closer together, but so worth it! They'll be great friends. Addie is in tumble Time too. I think that's the best for a toddler!
