I don't remember everything from this past week, but this is what I DO remember:
Last Saturday: Croquet and pizza with the Poulsen's. Rich is secretly a pro croquet player. We had such a blast. Troy and Noah are the cutest little friends. My favorite part of the night was going to the store with Rachel to get treats. I think we got enough for the whole neighborhood.
On Monday we went to the pool for the first time. Troy did NOT like being in the water. He was such a fish last year. I think he might have been in pain. Last Friday he climbed on a piece of furniture that fell on him and cut his leg. Luckily he was ok, but the cut was kind of deep.
Not a fan of the life jacket. He will have to get use to it though. We get the boat in a few weeks.
He screamed the whole time in the pool. So, we just let him run around the pool and kick his ball to us. Ben made a game out of it. He tried to not let it touch the water. What a Dad.
Troy can now climb the metal bars on the playground to get to the slide. There are four bars that are completely vertical. He uses his chin a little, which seems dangerous, but he is quite the pro now. Troy had his first creamy ice cream bar from a neighbor (Jaici) and he would not let go of it till he finished the whole thing. It was really hot outside, so it melted all over him. This kid Loves ice cream. He also loves playing with Jaici's three kids. They call him baby troy. :)
Saturday night was the ward "Adult Progressive Dinner." We were put in groups of 12 and went to two different houses for appetizers and dinner. (The most extravagant dinner I have ever had.) Dessert was at the church. Crepes with nutella, fruit, and white chocolate whip cream. YUM. Troy got to play at the church while we went to the dinner. I was worried that he would cry the whole time, but then I found out that they gave him cupcakes and pizza. I'm sure he was JUST fine. Ben and I think he only had cupcakes because he was literally bouncing off the walls when we got home. He just kept kicking, jumping, and yelling in excitement. It was hilarious.
I am training for the Freedom Run 5k on July 4th. Ben is going to run it with me. He is not even training. It sickens me how fast he is :) I am aiming for 8 minute miles. That's turtle slow for Ben, but I think it's realistic for me. If you are close to Provo, come run it with us! Or just sleep in like these Sunday nappers..
Oh Benny, you really need to do something about that farmer's tan! ;-)
